The Cindy Alvarado On the Road Again Run/Walk

New Market Elementary School is honored to be hosting “The Cindy Alvarado On the Road Again Run/Walk” on Saturday, May 13, 2023. We are proud to officially honor Cindy Alvarado with this annual New Market tradition. Ten years ago, Cindy Alvarado worked diligently to plan and implement the first New Market Elementary School On the Road Again 5K. This became a tradition and an event that our community is incredibly proud to support. In February of 2016, our community lost Cindy to an incredibly brave battle with lung cancer. It is with love and pride that we have added her name to this wonderful community event! New Market Elementary will use our proceeds to provide instructional materials for our classrooms! This is a precedent that was started by Cindy Alvarado: raising funds for the school community that she loved so dearly.
